• 1^st: LSUA Rocks/Downtown Rocks

  (6:00 pm - 8:00pm at the Campus Quad)
  Join the City of Alexandria in celebrating our 50th! For tonight “Downtown Rocks” will be “LSUA ROCKS”! Bring your blanket and lawn chairs and enjoy a concert on the LSUA Quad-- featuring Avery Michaels and Exit 209.

• 23^rd: Rapides Symphony and Red River Chorale

  (7:00 pm at the Coughlin Saunders)
  Join us for a celebration of LSUA’s 50th, Christus Cabrini’s 60th and the Catholic Diocese 100th Anniversaries -- The Rapides Symphony collaborating with Red River Chorale will present a concert – “Celebration of Mind, Body and Faith” Saturday evening and Sunday matinee.

• 26^th: History of Chambers/Oakland Plantation

  (6:30 pm at the Alexandria Museum of Art)
  The Friends of the James C. Bolton Library are sponsoring this presentation by Dr. Patsy Barber to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of LSU Alexandria. For more information please call Esther @473-6441.

• 29^th: Alumni & Friends Association Golf Scramble

  (Time TBD, at the LSUA Golf Course)
  Alumni & FRIENDS - 1pm - Tee time for the three man scramble; 5pm - Social for the non-golfers and golfers! Come out and enjoy our very own 19th hole! We will have some great food, music, and fun - for EVERYONE! For more information please call Mary B. at 318-619-2917.

• 11^th: 68th Anniversary of 101st Airborne Division

  (6:00pm at the Alexandria Museum of Art)
  In August 1942 at Camp Claiborne, the 101st Airborne Division was founded. This event will feature a speaker from the WWII Museum in New Orleans with special guests and local dignitaries to honor the rich military history of Central Louisiana. This event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the speaker. For more information please call Dr. Chris Stacey at 318-427-4483.

  (10:00 am at the River Front Center)
  Graduation Day! Please join us in celebrating the success of these GRADUATES!

• 17^th: GALA

  (7:00 pm at the Riverfront Center)
  This elegant evening will celebrate the 50th Year Anniversary and will raise money to establish an Endowed Scholarship for the LSUA Foundation.
