Health Forum Sheds Light on Domestic Violence

Carolyne Hoyt, executive director of NextSTEP of Central Louisiana, will present “Domestic Violence…the Facts” on Monday, Feb. 26 in LSU Alexandria’s Coughlin Hall Auditorium.

At this 12 p.m. health forum, Hoyt will describe the signs of domestic violence and offer advice on how to help the thousands affected by this violence in the Central Louisiana area.

LSUA’s departments of allied health, criminology, education, nursing and psychology are co-sponsoring this 45-minute forum.

This event is free and open to the public.

NextSTEP of Central Louisiana marshals local resources for the benefit of battered women and their children as they struggle to escape dangerous and destructive environments.
