Daytrip to Louisiana Book Festival Sponsored by LSUA

The Chancellor’s Arts and Humanities Committee of LSU Alexandria is sponsoring a daytrip for book lovers of all ages to the Louisiana Book Festival on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The charter bus will leave the parking lot across from the LSUA Student Center at 8 a.m. Travelers can expect to return to LSUA by 7:30 p.m.

This festival will give students, adults, and children an opportunity to interact with over 100 writers, poets, and storytellers. Family friendly food and beverages will be available for purchase in the Louisiana State Capitol and throughout the festival site. Travelers can also enjoy musical entertainment and cooking demonstrations on Baton Rouge’s Spanish Town Road.

Tickets are $2 and can be purchased in Continuing Education located in the Technology Center behind the Children’s Center on the LSUA campus. Those interested should purchase tickets before Oct. 26.
