<p>LSU Alexandria is hosting a Freshman Fair to provide information about changes that will be taking place in higher education in the next few years. This event is open to young people in grades 8-10, along with their parents or family members. </p> <p>The fair will be held Wednesday, March 10 from 9 a.m. until noon in the Barbara Brumfield Caffey Annex on the LSU Alexandria campus. The program will educate participants on new admission standards for Louisiana public universities that will go into affect in 2005. The event is free with reservations required by phoning (318) 473-6417 or toll free 1-888-473-6417. </p> <p>A representative from the Board of Regents will present the Louisiana Master Plan for Higher Education Admission Requirements. Additionally, a member of the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Aid (LOSFA) will talk about the Tuition Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) and financial aid. State colleges and universities will have displays set up for participants to browse and ask questions. </p> <p>Because of the state mandated changes in requirements, LSU Alexandria will have selective admissions beginning in 2007.
