Southern Crossroads Storytelling Conference coming to LSU Alexandria

The third annual Southern Crossroads Storytelling Conference is coming to LSU Alexandria on Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14. The purpose of the conference is to celebrate and continue Louisiana storytelling traditions. Professional local and national storytellers are scheduled to participate. Special guests include storyteller Caren Neile, novelist Deborah LeBlanc and poet Jack B. Bedell.

A conference banquet will be held on Friday evening, October 13 at the Alexandria Museum of Art/LSU Alexandria Downtown. Cost for the dinner is $20.

The conference is offered free to the public and will provide an opportunity for participants to hear scholars including famous Louisiana authors, professors and students reading and discussing their works.
