Released: 08/29/2006

Board of Regents member Scott Brame of Alexandria presented LSUA a check for $40,000 in matching funds to establish a new professorship in the Department of Business Administration at the university. Dr. Robert Cavanaugh, LSUA Chancellor, accepted the check on behalf of the university in a 9 a.m. ceremony today on the campus.

The Jenkins-Mulder Endowed Professorship was established by Michael and Jenny Jenkins and Howard M. Mulder all of Alexandria. The $100,000 professorship will provide funds to help recruit and retain a faculty member in the Business Department.

The Jenkins-Mulder Professorship is LSUA’s fifteenth endowed professorship. Chancellor Cavanaugh presented plaques to each of the donors in appreciation for their generosity and support of the university.
