Free Forum to help "change your life"

Learn everything you need to know to advance your job skills or earn a college degree by attending a Free Forum presented Oct. 24 by LSU Alexandria and Red River Bank.

The forum will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, in the Rapides Parish Technology Center, Weldon “Bo” Nipper Building, located on the LSU Alexandria campus. “Change Your Life 101” is geared toward adults who want to make a change in their careers. It will include the following topics: Tools that can help you match your skills to the right career. Ways to upgrade or advance your job skills in areas such as typing, computer software skills, using the Internet and e-mail. Self-paced tutorials to prepare job applicants for employment readiness tests in reading, math, observing, listening and more; ACT and GED preparatory tutorials. How to obtain a college degree -- even if you have been in the workforce already; have some college credit; or if you do not have a high school diploma. Hands-on demonstrations and try-outs of various computer programs you can use for free. Information about various degree programs offered at LSU Alexandria.

Free Forums are presented to the community as a public service at no charge. Pre-registration is required.
