Continuing Education offers computer training

LSU Alexandria Continuing Education is offering a variety of computer classes in October. These non-credit courses are open to the public. Pre-registration is required for each.

MICROSOFT POWERPOINT – BEGINNER: Create basic PowerPoint presentations using text, graphics and different slide techniques. 5:30-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday from Oct. 25 through Nov. 3. LSU Alexandria, Electronic Resource Center. Cost is $165. COMPUTER EFFICIENCY: Learn basic shortcuts on the computer to help you perform your job better. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, and Wednesday, Oct. 12. LSU Alexandria. COMPUTER BASICS – INTERMEDIATE AND INTERNET: Learn basic operating systems and the basic functions of the Internet. 5:30-7:30 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday from Oct. 17 through Oct. 26. LSU Alexandria. Cost is $65.

WEB DESIGN BASICS 3: Learn to design a Web page using XHTML and CSS. You will use Notepad to create the Web site. Prerequisites: Web Design Basics 1 and 2 or knowledge of how to build a Web site. 5:30-7:30 p.m. Every Monday and Wednesday from Oct. 17 through Oct. 26. Cost is $155.
