LSU Alexandria open for classes on Tuesday

Released: 09/26/2005

Louisiana State University at Alexandria will be open and classes will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27. All faculty and staff are expected to report to campus as scheduled.

“We understand that many of our students and employees are experiencing power outages and facing a water shortage,” said Chancellor Robert Cavanaugh. “Fortunately, the campus has its own water and electrical systems which have not been impacted by the City of Alexandria water emergency.”

However, because of the water situation in Alexandria, classes at the Learning Center for Rapides Parish will not be held this evening or tomorrow (Sept. 26 & 27).
