LSU Alexandria students and employees are invited to attend a group trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival on Saturday, Oct. 15. The cost is $17 a person.

More than 300,000 patrons attend the festival in Plantersville, Texas, each year, making it the largest renaissance theme park in the country. The festival allows patrons to experience the sights, sounds, tastes and beauty of the 16th century. It includes costumed characters, rides and games, international cuisine, jousting, two wedding chapels, 21 stages with over 200 daily performances, 300 arts-and-crafts shops and more.

The trip is sponsored by The Chancellor’s Arts & Humanities Committee. For more information, call Dr. Eamon Halpin at 427-4469.
