Several children of LSU Alexandria employees will have a full day at work on Thursday as the university participates in the national Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day program.
Eighteen children ages 8 to 15 will head to the office with their parents and then take part in a full day of activities designed to boost their self-esteem and health.
This is the 11th year that LSU Alexandria has participated in the national event, and organizers try to provide the children with more than just a day shadowing their parents.
The participants will watch a demonstration in the Nursing Department, visit a computer lab, go swimming and hit golf balls at the driving range on campus.
At lunch they’ll hear a presentation from the newly crowned Ms. LSUA, Brandi Rabalais. The children will spend the last part of their busy day in their parents' offices.
