Circle K Hawaiian Day is April 27

LSU Alexandria’s Circle K organization is sponsoring Hawaiian Day at the university on Wednesday, April 27.

The event will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. under tiki huts on the campus lawn. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate and wear Hawaiian costumes.

The organization will provide free lunch for students. Staff and faculty can purchase lunches for $3. Popcorn and fruit punch will be provided free of charge.

Activities include a Hula contest, a limbo contest and a costume contest. The organization will sell T-shirts, and give some away as prizes.

Meanwhile, Circle K members are conducting a raffle to raise money for underprivileged children in Central Louisiana. The winners will be announced during Hawaiian Day. First prize is dinner for two at Tunk’s Cypress Inn, second is a basket of school supplies and third is a $20 voucher for Bayou Rapides Best.

Circle K Hawaiian Day is co-sponsored by the BCM, SGA and local merchants Tunk’s Cypress Inn, Seafood Etc., David Roy Farms, HG Farms and Bayou Rapides Best.
