"One-Eyed Jacks" presented March 11

LSU Alexandria students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to a special presentation of the 1961 Western “One-Eyed Jacks” on campus.

The movie will be presented in the Coughlin Hall Auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday, March 11. Admission is free.

The event is part of the LSU Alexandria Spring 2005 Film Series of classics that will be shown on campus through April, said Dr. Eamon Halpin, chairman of the Chancellor’s Arts and Humanities Committee which sponsors the events.

“One-Eyed Jacks” is the only film directed by actor Marlon Brando. In addition to his directing credit, Brando stars in the movie along with Karl Malden.

Other movies to be presented at LSU Alexandria this semester are “His Girl Friday,” 7 p.m. Friday, April 1; “Charlie Chan in Paris,” 7 p.m. Friday, April 15; and “Suddenly,” 7 p.m. Friday, April 29.
