Storytelling for children scheduled Nov. 20

Released: 11/12/2004

A storytelling event for children will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in front of the James C. Bolton Library on the LSU Alexandria campus. Admission is free. The Friends of the LSUA Library Board is hosting the event, which is for the young and young at heart. It is part of the organization’s Coffee and Culture lecture series that kicked off earlier this semester. This special event, however, is appropriately named “Kool-Aid & Culture” for its target audience of youngsters. Children will be treated to Native American storytelling by Dr. Leslie Hannah, assistant professor of English at LSU Alexandria. They will also enjoy snacks and will participate in a hands-on Thanksgiving art activity. For more information, contact board president Amy Robertson at 640-4123 or
