Texas Renaissance Festival trip scheduled

LSU Alexandria students and friends of the University are invited to experience the sights, sounds, tastes and beauty of the 16th century at the Texas Renaissance Festival on Saturday, Oct. 30. The Chancellor’s Arts & Humanities Committee is sponsoring the trip. The group will depart by bus from the Student Center/Bookstore parking lot at 5 a.m. and return at midnight. The festival at Planter’s Village features a royal joust, international cuisine, arts and crafts, a fireworks display and more than 3,000 costumed characters. The cost is $19 for adults and $9 for children ages 7-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For registration information, contact Continuing Education at 473-6495.
