LSU ALEXANDRIA SEEKS COMMUNITY INPUT

Released: 06/09/2004

As LSU Alexandria continues to grow and develop new four-year programming, the university continually must focus on planning and quality improvement. Input from the central Louisiana communities is needed to help the university update its strategic plan. The Strategic Planning Task Force, made up of students, faculty, staff and community leaders, will be meeting during June to review the university’s mission and vision statements and to prioritize institutional goals.

To include a greater number of individuals from the community, LSU Alexandria is inviting and encouraging individuals to provide input for the planning process. Those interested can review the strategic plan document located in the “Update” section of the LSU Alexandria website (www.lsua.edu) next to the main photo. The mission statement, vision statement and institutional goals are listed at the beginning of the document.

Community members are also invited to share perceptions about critical opportunities and threats facing LSU Alexandria during the next few years.

Please forward all comments and recommendations to Lafe Jones, director of Continuing Education, by noon on Friday, June 18. Comments, recommendations and questions can be submitted by fax or email to: FAX (318) 473-6559 or ljones@lsua.edu.
