The LSU Alexandria Alumni and Friends Association (AFA) will host a cochon de lait on Thursday, May 20 on the campus plaza. This is the first social event hosted by the new organization. This event is open to anyone who would like to learn about what is happening on campus. A $20 donation will secure a ticket for the event which will include dinner of roast pig, baked beans, dirty rice, potato salad, dessert, and a drink. Entertainment will be provided by the local flavor of the Moncla Cajun Band. Chancellor Robert Cavanaugh will also provide an update. Individuals will have the opportunity to join the LSU Alexandria AFA as a regular member for a membership fee of $25 per year at the event. “We plan to have good food, fellowship, and music and we also hope to hear favorite memories from some of our former students,” said Missy LaBorde, event coordinator.

To purchase tickets, you can mail a check for $20 per ticket to the LSUA Foundation, P.O. Box 100, Lecompte, LA 71346, and note on the memo line that it is for the cochon de lait. Tickets will be mailed to you so be sure to include your name and address.
