LIFEGUARD TRAINING AT LSU ALEXANDRIA

<p>Looking for a summer job? Lifeguard training may be just the course needed to guarantee that perfect summer job. There is a shortage of lifeguards so job opportunities in central Louisiana are plentiful, but applicants must be meet particular qualifications to secure a lifeguard position. <p/> <p>LSU Alexandria Continuing Education offers the Lifeguard Training course to prepare individuals for a lifeguard job. Lifeguard Training will be offered April 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 15 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the pool on the LSU Alexandria campus. Anyone age 15 or older who is a proficient swimmer may register for the course. The fee is $175 which includes a manual and CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certificates. In addition to teaching the obvious skills of working around the pool, lifeguarding also teaches leadership and critical thinking skills that can help in many aspects of life. <p/> <p>For registration information, contact LSU Alexandria Continuing Education at 473-6495 or online at www.continuinged@lsua.edu. <p/>
