COURSE OFFERS HELP TO SAFELY BUILD PERSONAL WEALTH

Released: 03/23/2004

LSU Alexandria Continuing Education offers several non-credit personal enrichment courses each semester. In April, one of these courses covers personal financial management.

Improper ethics have left many people with bad investments and no return on their money. On Tuesday, April 27, from 6 until 9 p.m., local businessman and investment strategist Steve Hamel will show people how to “Build Wealth Without Selling Your Soul.” Participants will take a look at some of the ways people can safely build a retirement plan. Many companies have been in the media recently for violating trading regulations -some are called late trading and market timing. This three-hour course will explain, in detail, what this means to the average investor. This is an educational program, and the instructor will not be selling or promoting packages or funds. The fee for this course $35.

Pre-registration with payment of fees is required for all courses. Additional information and a registration form, is available online at continuinged.lsua.edu.
