LSUA TO HOST POETRY-FICTION READING

<p> On Saturday, September 20, 1997, Louisiana State University at Alexandria will host a Poetry-Fiction Reading and Critique Workshop. This event is supported by a grant from the Louisiana State Arts Council through the Louisiana Division of the Arts administered by the City of Alexandria. </p><p> The visiting authors will conduct readings from their works which were published in The Louisiana English Journal. The poetry and fiction readings are free of charge and open to the public. The readings will begin at 1 p.m. in the Nursing Building on the LSUA campus and last until 4 p.m. Each of the four authors will read and discuss their work. </p><p> The following authors are scheduled to attend: Randolph Bates, author of Rings: On the Life and Family of A Southern Fighter; Darrell Bourque, author of Plainsongs, a chapbook of poems; Neil Connelly, author of fiction published in literary journals, including The Review and Yalobusha Review; and Kathleen T.
