Nonprofit Management Program 2003

Fifteen local professionals have completed the Nonprofit Management Program 2003. The Nonprofit Management Program is a series of leadership workshops presented by The Rapides Foundation and LSU Alexandria. This comprehensive eight-month program featured monthly one-day workshops for nonprofit managers, supervisors and board members in central Louisiana. <p> The eight topics covered were professional planning/program orientation, fundraising, board planning and recruitment, program development/evaluation, collaboration, financial management, strategic planning and professional planning evaluation/professional next steps. </p><p> Each workshop included a lecture, coaching and activities to facilitate learning. Regionally and nationally recognized instructors presented standard practices and “real-world” everyday applications on each topic. Participants also received a recommended book for each workshop. </p><p> All workshops were held at the Rapides Parish Learning Center at England Airpark in Alexandria.
