LSUA COFFEE CALL RESCHEDULED

<p> The Bank of Lecompte is sponsoring a Coffee Call in conjunction with the LSUA Division of Continuing Education and Technology to discuss the results of the Third International Mathematics and Science Study or TIMSS. This session was previously scheduled for Monday, September 14, 1998 and had to be canceled. </p><p> "Interpreting the TIMSS Report" will be held on Monday, September 21, 1998 from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Conference Center on the LSUA Campus. There is no fee to attend, but pre-registration is required by calling 473-6495 or 473-6445. </p><p> Students in the United States performed poorly when compared to students from other nations according to the study. Dr. Thomas Awtry, associate professor of mathematics at LSUA, will lead the discussion about what the results of the report means for education in the United States. </p><p> For more information, contact the Division of Continuing Education and Technology at 473-6495 or 473-6445. </p>
