<p> Louisiana State University at Alexandria and the Central Louisiana Area Health Education Center (AHEC) will host an Alternative/Complementary Therapies workshop on Monday, October 26, 1998 from 7:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Barbara Brumfield Caffey Annex on the LSUA campus. </p><p> The program will provide information about some of the Alternative/Complementary Therapies that are available today. Guest speakers include Dr. Barbara Ardoin of Lafayette, and Andrea McClure Neri, N.D., Penny Kozielski, LMT, and Stephen Maks RN, ACA, LAC, all specialists in their fields. </p><p> Topics of the workshop include nutrients and drug interactions, botanical/herbal preparations, massage therapy and acupuncture. Information about changing trends and advances in clinical nutrition research will also be provided. </p><p> The registration fee varies depending on the awarding of Continuing Education Units (CEU) and the inclusion of lunch. The cost for individual participants is $38 which includes lunch and CEU&acute;s awarded. Students can register for $19 which includes lunch, or for $13 with lunch not included. CEU&acute;s are not included in the student prices.
