<p> Louisiana State University at Alexandria continues its tradition since 1989 of offering a non-credit course to help prepare members of our community planning to take the Notary Public Exam. </p><p> The course "Preparing for the Notary Public Exam" will be offered on Saturday, June 5, 1999. The class will meet on the LSUA campus from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The cost of the course is $47 and pre-registration is required. Participants will learn the role and responsibilities of a notary public in Rapides Parish. </p><p> The instructor for the class is Gary B. Tillman, Attorney at Law. Tillman is a partner at Stafford, Stewart & Potter, Attorneys at Law, of Alexandria. Some of his civic and professional activities include membership on the Louisiana State and American Bar Associations, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Rapides Parish Notarial Exam Commission. </p><p> Tillman received his bachelor of science in accounting from LSU in December 1982 and continued his education at LSU&acute;s Paul M.
