<p> Dr. Randall H. Stovall, vice chancellor for Academic Affairs and Registrar at Louisiana State University at Alexandria, has been selected as one of only 33 two-year college leaders to attend the Executive Leadership Institute. A national panel selected the participants from a pool of approximately 100 applicants holding senior-level positions of leadership in two- year colleges to attend the institute, which is sponsored by the League for Innovation in the Community College in cooperation with The University of Texas at Austin. "The League has a really good reputation for programs," said Stovall, "and I want to learn some things that have direct application to my job. I&acute;m hoping to learn some things that I don&acute;t even know that I don&acute;t know." </p><p> Jerry Moskus, president of the League for Innovation, said, "The review panel was extremely impressed with the quality of the applicants, which speaks well for the future vitality of the community college." </p><p> The purpose of the institute, to be held in Newport Beach, California, August 1-6, 1999, is to provide an opportunity for selected community college leaders to review their abilities and </p><p> interests, to refine their skills, and to participate in discussions on leadership with outstanding community college educators in North America. </p>
