REPRESENTATIVE RIDDLE TO DELIVER LSUA COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS

<p> Louisiana State University at Alexandria (LSUA) will hold commencement exercises on Thursday, May 20 at 10 a.m. for approximately 107 graduates. The ceremony will take place in the Physical Education Building on campus. </p><p> Representative Charles A. Riddle, III of Marksville will present the commencement address. Mrs. Virginia Shehee, a member of the LSU System Board of Supervisors, will confer the degrees. </p><p> Representative Riddle represents District 28 in the Louisiana House of Representatives in his second term. His first tenure was from March 1992 through December 1995. He was re-elected to serve his second term from January 1996 through December 1999. </p><p> Some of his committee activities include being elected to serve on the House Appropriations Committee and appointed to serve as Vice Chairman of the House Health & Welfare Committee, The House Executive Committee, and Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget. He also serves as Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health & Welfare, Public Safety and Resources. </p><p> Rep. Riddle is an attorney who has been practicing since 1980. He was the Chief Indigent Defender for the 12th Judicial District from 1988 through 1991. He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, served as the Avoyelles Bar Association president from 1987 through 1988, and is a member of the Board of the Marksville Chamber of Commerce, of which he served as president from 1988 until 1992. Riddle serves on the Board of Directors of the Bunkie Rotary Club and is a member of the Marksville Lion&acute;s Club. </p><p> Rep. Riddle received his bachelor of arts at LSU Baton Rouge in 1976. He continued at LSU Law School and graduated with his juris doctor in 1980. He is married to the former Susan Noone and has three sons. </p>
