98 GRADUATE DURING LSUA COMMENCEMENT

<p> Chancellor Robert Cavanaugh presented diplomas to 98 graduates during Louisiana State University at Alexandria&acute;s Spring Commencement exercises held May 20, 1999. During commencement, 74 students earned associate degrees and 24 students earned bachelor&acute;s degrees. </p><p> Ms. Sunny S. Gulley, of Pineville, received the Chancellor&acute;s Award as the LSUA graduate with the highest overall grade point average. She received her associate of science in computer information technology through the Division of Business Administration. </p><p> Ms. Angel David, of Pineville, received the President&acute;s Award as the LSU Senior College graduate with the highest overall grade point average. For this achievement, her bachelor of science in elementary grades education was awarded magna cum laude for attaining a grade point average of at least 3.8 </p><p> Ms. Rebecca Lonidier, of Marksville, also received her bachelor of science in elementary grades education from LSU with the magna cum laude honor. </p><p> Ms. Mary Dunkeson, of Alexandria, and Ms. Jill Labbé, of Pineville, graduated cum laude for attaining a grade point average between 3.70 and 3.79. Both of these students received their bachelor of science in elementary grades education. </p><p> Representative Charles A. Riddle, III of Marksville presented the commencement address.
