LSUA SEPTEMBER SHORT COURSES

<p> Louisiana State University at Alexandria is offering two different short courses in September. One is for individuals to prepare for the Notary Public Exam and the other teaches how to design a web page. </p><p> "Preparing for the Notary Public Exam - September Exam" will be offered on Saturday, September 11, 1999. The class will meet in the Conference Center Room 107 on the LSUA campus from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The cost of the course is $47 and pre-registration is required. </p><p> The course is offered to help prepare persons planning to take the Notary Public Examination. Participants will learn the role and responsibilities of a notary public in Rapides Parish. The instructor for the class is Gary Tillman, Attorney at Law. </p><p> "How to Design a Webpage" is one of the newest short course offerings from the Division of Continuing Education and Technology at LSUA. </p><p> The course will meet on Saturdays, September 18 and 25 from 9.30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the University Center at England Airpark. The fee for the course is $43.00 and pre-registration is required. Chuck Fontenot, basic academic occupational skills coordinator of the Developmental Education Learning Lab (DELL), will be the instructor. </p><p> This course will provide enough basic hyper text mark-up language (HTML) so that participants can design a webpage for home or business use.
