LSUA COFFEE CALL ON MATH MANIPULATIVES

<p> The LSUA Division of Continuing Education and Technology and The Bank of Lecompte will present a Coffee Call to discuss "Math Manipulatives: What Are They and How Are They Used." The session will meet on Monday, February 21 from 4-6 p.m. in Oakland Hall on the LSUA campus. Dr. Thomas Awtry, associate professor of mathematics at LSUA, will help participants learn the role manipulatives should play in the classroom and how to make your own. </p><p> Coffee Calls are opportunities for the community to meet with faculty members and enjoy coffee and conversation in their fields of study. Coffee Calls are brought to you as a public service at no charge by the Bank of Lecompte. Pre-registration is required by calling 473-6495 or 473-6445. </p>
