INTERNET CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE

<p> Louisiana State University at Alexandria&acute;s Division of Continuing Education and Technology is offering a course to teach participants how to connect and use the INTERNET. "Introduction to the Internet" will be offered on Tuesday, April 4 and Thursday, April 6 from 6-9 p.m. in Chambers Hall Room 130. The cost for the course is $61.50 plus the text and pre-registration is required by phoning the Division at 473-6495. </p><p> The INTERNET is a world-wide network of computers which offers electronic mail, news, weather, free software and a vast array of other information resources. Dr. Lawanda Smith, computing services analyst at LSUA, will instruct the class on how to use online databases, library catalogs, Gopher sites, World Wide Web sites, file transfer and much more. </p><p> For more information and to register, contact the Division of Continuing Education and Technology at 473-6495. </p>
