LSUA AWARDS CERTIFICATES TO EKG AND PHLEBOTOMY TECHS

<p> Louisiana State University at Alexandria&acute;s Division of Nursing & Health Sciences presented awards of completion to 18 electrocardiographic (EKG) technicians and 12 phlebotomy technician candidates in a ceremony on campus May 18. </p><p> Sissy Franks, Service Coordinator for Outpatient Services at Rapides Regional Medical Center, was the guest speaker. Ms. Franks is a native of Minden and a 1979 graduate of Louisiana College. She holds a bachelor of arts in religious education with a minor in psychology. She has been employed at Rapides Regional since 1980. </p><p> The following students received awards of completion for the EKG Technician Program. They are now eligible to take the National Electrocardiography Certification Examination.
