LSUA Students Promote October as Learning Disabilities Awareness Month

The LSU Alexandria student organization, Aspiring to be Professional Teachers (APT), will hold a seminar to promote October as Learning Disabilities Month. The Third Annual Learning Disabilities Seminar will be held Thursday, Oct. 9 at 12:20 p.m. in the Barbara Brumfield Caffey Annex on campus. This program is free and open to the public. <p> The guest speaker will be psychologist Bill Crumby from LaFargue Special Education Center. </p><p> APT members will be passing out purple ribbons and literature on campus during October in recognition of learning disability awareness month. </p><p> The APT officers for this year are Dana Atwood of Pineville-president, Margaret Rigby of Marksville-vice president, Suzy Babb of Forest Hill-treasurer, and Erin Lemoine of Moreauville-secretary. </p><p> For more information, contact Donna Odom Lacaze, APT faculty advisor, at (318) 473-6457.</p>
