RED RIVER CIVIL WAR SYMPOSIUM AT LSU ALEXANDRIA

<p>To commemorate the 140th Anniversary of the Red River Campaign, LSU Alexandria is sponsoring a Red River Civil War Symposium to take place on March 26 and 27. The program will be held in the F. Hugh Coughlin Hall Auditorium on campus. The symposium is free and open to the public. </p> <p>To kick off the event, Dr. Arthur M. Bergeron, Civil War historian and former Louisiana Historical Association president, will be the featured speaker on Friday, March 26 at 7 p.m. There will be a reception after his presentation. </p> <P>Saturday’s program includes panel discussions on three topics that will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at noon.
