Workshop for Health Care Professionals at LSUA

<p> The Louisiana Division of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Division of Continuing Education and Technology present "Health Care Survival: A Continuing Education Workshop for Health Care Professionals." </p><p> The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 7:45 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at LSUA. The cost is $50 for the general public and $25 for LSUA students and faculty. The fee includes registration, lunch, refreshments and processing of CEU credits for nurses. </p><p> The keynote speaker is Patricia E. Thompson, RN, EdD, president of Sigma Theta Tau International. Dr. Thompson is an internationally-recognized nursing educator. The program will focus on survival techniques for health care professionals. Topics include leadership, teamwork, relaxation, spirituality, exercise and nutrition. </p><p> Supporting sponsors for the event are CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital and Rapides Regional Medical Center.
