LSUA Presents The Meeting

<p> Louisiana State University at Alexandria (LSUA) will host the drama, The Meeting, performed by Pin Points Theatre of Washington, D.C. This powerful drama about the lives, philosophies, and times of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X will be presented on Monday, March 5, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the Barbara Brumfield Caffey Annex on the LSUA campus. The public is invited to attend this performance at no charge. Lunch will be provided by LSUA&acute;s student organizations. </p><p> The Meeting addresses the intriguing question of what would have happened if Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X had met before being gunned down in a hail of bullets, just three years apart. This critically acclaimed production has received the Louis B. Mayer Award, six New York Audelco Nominations, and eight NAACP Theater Awards.
