LSUA to Host Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon

<p> Louisiana State University at Alexandria (LSUA) will host its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon on Monday, January 28, 2002 beginning at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon will be held on the LSUA campus in the Barbara Brumfield Caffey Annex. Tickets for the event are $10 for regular admission and $2 for LSUA students with a current ID. Reservations are required in advance by contacting Dessie Williams at 473-6473. </p><p> The featured speaker will be Veretta Garrison, CEO of Garrison Brown Spencer Consulting Services, Intercultural Marketing Strategies. She will parallel King&acute;s message of the 1960&acute;s with its application in today&acute;s times in America. </p><p> Lunch will be provided by Outback Steakhouse of Alexandria with proceeds of the event to benefit the LSUA Ebony Scholarship. </p><p> For more information or to make reservations for the event, contact Dessie Williams, committee chair, at 473-6473. </p>
