LSUA 2002 Greece Travel Course

<p> Continuing in its tradition of offering cultural and learning opportunities abroad, Louisiana State University at Alexandria (LSUA) is once again offering a travel course for interested students and community members. </p><p> The LSUA 2002 Travel Course to Greece is a 12 day trip scheduled to depart August 2 and return on August 13. The basic cost for triple occupancy is approximately $2,589 and is open to both students and non-students. There is an additional fee of $95 for first time travelers with LSUA and airport taxes also are not included. The basic cost includes all travel, touring, lodging, museum admissions, morning and evening meals, tour guides and tips. A three-day cruise of several Greek Islands is an added bonus of this trip and while on the cruise, all meals are included. </p><p>

Highlights of the land tour include visits to the cities of Athens, Epidaurus, Delphi, Corphu, Peloponesus and Crete. The important ruins of these ancient civilizations provide the foundations for philosophy, theatre, religion, visual arts and architecture, and literature. While on the cruise, travelers will visit Turkey and the port city of Kusadasi. </p><p> The trip may be taken on a credit or non-credit basis. Courses offered for credit as part of the international tour to Greece are English, fine arts, and theatre. Participants may earn up to six hours credit. </p><p> A deposit of $395 is due by April 15 and should be paid at the LSUA Accounting Office to confirm your place.
