Toys Sought for LSUA Police Christmas Toy Drive

Released: 12/04/2012

The LSU Alexandria University Police Department is collecting toys for its fifth annual Christmas toy drive, announced Chief Matthew Issman. Toys for girls and boys are sought. A limit of approximately $10 per toy is suggested.

The toys will be distributed by LSUA uniformed police officers to children in local hospitals.

Toy donations can be dropped off to the LSUA Police Office in Room 144 of Chambers Hall. Wrapping paper, ribbon and bows also will be accepted. Toy Drive Coordinator Emily Heiman said LSUA police officers will pick up toys off campus if groups want to participate.

A “wrapping party” will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 at the campus police office. Volunteers are welcome.

To contribute, contact LSU Alexandria University Police at 318-473-6427. #
