Released: 04/30/2012

LSU Alexandria will present “Excellent Teaching! What worked for me: a student’s perspective” on Wednesday, May 2 as part of Celebrate Teaching Day. The program will begin at noon in the Brumfield Caffey Annex Ballroom and will include a welcome from Dr. Barbara Hatfield, provost and vice chancellor for academic and student affairs, followed by insights on teaching excellence from a panel of 11 current students.

Students also will have an opportunity to write thank you notes to those teachers they feel have provided excellent teaching in the classroom.

The Celebrate Teaching Day event is offered free and is open to the public. The event is sponsored by the Eloise Farris Mulder Center for Teaching Excellence and the LSU Alexandria Student Government Association. For more information, contact Dr. Mary Boone Treuting at
