Thanksgiving Psychology Forum to Feature "Words By the Handful"

“Words by the Handful” will be the topic of the 8th Annual Thanksgiving Psychology Forum at LSU Alexandria on Wednesday, Nov. 23. The event will be held in the Brumfield Caffey Annex from 9 -10:30 a.m. Discussion will center around the psychological, communicative and educational benefits of communicating with young children through sign language.

The Forum features author, teacher, and Alexandria native Mimi Brian Vance who will discuss her book, “Words by the Handful, Four Stories to Help You and Your Baby Communicate.” It is offered free and is open to the public. The Thanksgiving Forum is Co-sponsored by the LSUA Departments of Behavioral and Social Sciences; Education; Arts, English and Humanities and the LSUA Foundation.
