Simone Dinnerstein, Solo Pianist, to Perform at LSUA

<p> Pianist Simone Dinnerstein will perform at Louisiana State University at Alexandria on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. in the Barbara Brumfield Caffey Annex. This event is free and open to the public. </p><p> The concert is a part of the Piatiogorsky Foundation and is co-hosted by the Arts Council of Central Louisiana and LSUA. The program is sponsored in part by the Virginia Martin Howard Foundation through the Virginia Martin Howard Northern Louisiana Tour. Mrs. Howard, of Pineville, is a long-time supporter of arts programs in central Louisiana and across the nation. </p><p> Ms. Dinnerstein is a graduate of The Juilliard School where she was a student of Peter Serkin. For two summers, she was selected as one of the few pianists invited to be a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center, where she performed frequently at Ozawa Hall and in Tanglewood&acute;s Festival of Contemporary Music. This fall, her recordings of Beethoven&acute;s complete sonatas for cello and piano with cellist Simca Heled will be released. </p><p> Ms. Dinnerstein has performed extensively in the United States as well as in England, playing solo and duo performances.
