LSU Alexandria to host a Commemoration of Central Louisiana's Role in WWII

Louisiana State University at Alexandria will host a special program in November commemorating Central Louisiana's role in World War II. ''First in Flight: Birthplace of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions'' will be held on Friday evening, Nov. 18 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Barbara Brumfield Caffey Annex.

The program will feature guest speaker Tom Czekenski from the National World War II museum and will honor current and past members of the US military. A reception will follow the hour-long program.

The event is offered free and is open to the public.
