Students honored by local public relations group

LSU Alexandria's Natalie North was one of two students recenlty honored as Outstanding Public Relations Student by the Cenla Chapter of the Public Relations Association of Louisiana. North is a senior majoring in communication studies.

According to her nomination letter North was described as "a natural leader. She takes her work and her studies very seriously and never settles for mediocrity."

North is the president and founding member of Theta Phi Alpha, LSUA's first nationally-affiliated Greek organization for women. She was voted Outstanding Student Leader for LSU Alexandria in 2010. In addition to a full-time class schedule, she is employed by KALB TV. Her work on the LSUA Foundation Scholarship Gala and other 50th anniversary events through a public relations practicum class earned North the Outstanding Public Relations Student honor.

Also recognized by the Cenla PRAL chapter was Louisiana College student Amy Bryant.
