Hands-Only CPR Training Offered to LSUA Students, Employees

LSU Alexandria students and employees will have the opportunity to learn hands-only CPR in a training session April 12, announced Chad Gauthier, university safety officer. Free sessions will begin every 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on the campus quadrangle.

“This latest method of CPR is effective and easy to learn,” said Gauthier. “It can save lives, and almost anybody can perform hands-only CPR.”

Complimentary lunch will be provided to participants. The training is sponsored by CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Rapides Regional Medical Center, Acadian Ambulance and the American Red Cross. The event will be moved to the Bayou Robert Room in the student center in there’s inclement weather.
