LSUA Spring Preview Day Set March 4

Released: 02/21/2011

The annual Spring Preview Day at LSU Alexandria, a get-acquainted event for high juniors and seniors and their parents, is scheduled March 4, announced Shelly Kieffer, director of admissions. The event was rescheduled from Feb. 10 when icy weather forced its postponement.

“We’ll answer every question about the admission process, academic opportunities and financial aid,” said Kieffer. “Students and parents who have attended in the past consistently tell us that this event is the most beneficial in making a decision about college.” Spring Preview Day begins at 9 a.m. in the Brumfield-Caffey Annex at the student center and concludes at 2 p.m.

Members of the LSUA faculty representing all academic areas will be available to discuss curriculum and career opportunities. Financial aid options and scholarships also will be explained. Representatives from student services, housing, campus security and other areas will answer questions, and a tour of the campus will be conducted.

The cost is $10 per student, which includes lunch and a T-shirt. There is no fee for parents. Registration is available with a mail-in form available from the university website at Additional information may be obtained at or 473-6508. Students who registered for the original Spring Preview Day need not register again.
