This program is designed to help historians increase their understanding of the study of war and military history. The main objective is to show the participants that professional military history is intellectually engaging, readily accessible to them and fun, in the hopes of encouraging them to continue in their study and teaching of military history. Upon completion of the program, Dr. Robertson plans to offer a course in military history at LSUA in support of the ROTC program in which the University is in partnership with Northwestern State University and Louisiana College.

The Summer Seminar focuses primarily on the Western and Asian military experience during World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
