Downtown Rocks Concert Comes to LSUA Oct. 1

Released: 09/16/2010

Downtown Rocks, the City of Alexandria-sponsored public concert series, will be held at LSU Alexandria on Oct. 1 from 6-8 p.m. The free event is part of a year-long commemoration of LSUA’s 50th anniversary.

Popular country music singer Avery Michaels and Exit 209 will perform on the campus quadrangle. Limited seating is available, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Refreshments will be sold by LSUA student organizations, and patrons may bring their own food and drink.

Ample complimentary parking is available on lots adjacent to the quadrangle.

“We are grateful to the City of Alexandria for bringing this event to our campus as part of the Golden Anniversary celebration,” said Melinda Anderson, executive director of institutional advancement/LSUA Foundation. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the public to get acquainted with LSUA and enjoy terrific music in a safe and fun environment.”
