Fall 'Regular' Enrollment Up Slightly

Fall enrollment at LSU Alexandria, excluding high school students taking dual enrollment college-credit courses, is 2,339, up 16 students from the 2009 fall semester. Total enrollment, which includes everyone taking college-credit hours, is 2,667, eight fewer than a year ago.

“Our student census this fall is very close to last year,” said Teresa Seymour, executive director of enrollment management/registrar. “We have exactly the same number of full-time students and are up 4.6 percent in new students.” There are 328 high school students enrolled in LSUA college-credit courses.

Full-time students – those taking a minimum of 12 credit hours – number 1,295. There are 1,372 part-time students at LSUA this semester. The student body consists of 1,912 females and 755 males.
