8 'March Back 2 College' Seminars Set for Central Louisiana Adults

Released: 03/01/2010

LSU Alexandria will hold eight off-campus “March Back 2 College” seminars for adult learners in Central Louisiana this month, announced Shelly Kieffer, director of recruiting and admissions.

The seminars are geared to assist adults who want to return to college or who have never attended. Information regarding admission, financial aid, academic options, class schedules, student services, child care, Internet classes and transfer of college credit will be presented.

All seminars will be held from 6-7 p.m. “We understand the demands on the schedules of adults and their families, and we hope these meetings will better accommodate their needs,” said Kieffer. “Every question about enrolling at LSUA will be answered. A sizable portion of our student body consists of adults, and I think those who attend these seminars will learn that returning to school is feasible.”

The “March Back 2 College” schedule is as follows: March 8 -- Alexandria, Buchanan Allied Health Building on Jackson Street. March 9 – Ville Platte, Ville Platte Public Library. March 9 – Jena, Jena Public Library. March 10 – Bunkie, Bunkie Civic Center. March 11 – Oakdale, Oakdale Public Library. March 15 – Colfax, Colfax Public Library. March 16 – Marksville, Union Bank Meeting Room. March 22 – Pineville, Keys Park Conference Room.
