Fulbright Scholar to Discuss Native American Literature Oct. 27

Dr. Marija Knezevic, a visiting Fulbright Scholar at LSU Alexandria, will discuss “Native American Literature Now” in a Cavanaugh Public Lecture presentation Tuesday (Oct. 27) at 7 p.m. at the Alexandria Museum of Art. Admission is free.

Knezevic, who lives in one of the world’s youngest countries, Montenegro, is teaching Native American literature at LSUA this semester. She is professor of English at the University of Montenegro and also has expertise in Native American writing. Her talk will focus on transformation of traditional Native American themes in the works of contemporary writers.

The lecture is sponsored by the Department of Arts, English and Humanities at LSUA.
